Lena

Greg Fuchs, 60

Craig Eugene Fuchs, age 60 of Lena, Illinois passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, January 3, 2025 at UW Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was born on June 4, 1964 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Ron and Pat (Buchenau) Fuchs. Craig was a graduate of Lena Winslow High School Class of 1982. He worked at Bay Valley Foods for 23 years.

Craig is survived by his mother Pat Fuchs of Lena; sons- Andrew Fuchs of Lena, Brandon (Veronica) Fuchs of Lena, Adam Fuchs of Pearl City; sister Anita (Mike) Parkinson of Lena; nieces- Lauren (Mitchell) Ganzer of Platteville, Lindsey (Kyler) Calow of Warren, Lana Parkinson of Lena; great nieces- Josefine, Elizabeth and Charlotte Ganzer, and Chloe Calow; God children- Christopher Green, Marie Runkle, and Lucas Lawson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Ron Fuchs; maternal grandparents Melvin and LaVonia Buchenau; paternal grandparents Albert and Mabel Fuchs; Aunt Marcia Lobdell and Uncle Ron Buchenau.

Craig was Le-Win Football’s biggest fan. He loved spending time with his sons including golfing, fishing, going to races, and tractor pulls. The family would like to extend a thank you to his Bay Valley family for their love and support.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lena. A visitation was held from 3:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lena. Reverand Rick Bader officiated the services. Luncheon followed the Funeral Services at St. John’s Church. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.

Stockton

Donmald Lee Paul, 63

Donald Lee Paul, age 63, of Stockton, IL passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at home. He was born in Freeport on May 4, 1961 to the late Frank and Olive Paul. Don married Terri Kuntz on May 13. Terri passed away August 30, 2011. Don married Sherri Groezinger on January 9, 2015.

Don worked at Atwoods/Dura for 37 years then worked for Grede in Browntown. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved music, especially Elvis. Don also enjoyed spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Paul; children, Stephanie (Jason) Broshous and Dennis (Brynn) Groezinger; grandchildren, Dawson, Dylann, Danni, Will, Grace, and Payton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Terri.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Morseville Cemetery. Kimberly D. Hill, 49

Kimberley D. Hill, age 49, went to get her angel wings on January 1, 2025. She fought mesothelioma lung cancer like a true battle angel.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Hill; her daughter, Jemini Hill; her sisters, Melanie (Richard) Earlywine and Michelle (Aaron) Deshane; her special niece, Casey (Christopher) Spangler; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her 19 day old son, Ethyn Garrett Hill; her mother, Rickee Hughes; her father, Harry Powell; her paternal grandparents Dorthea and Norman Posey; her maternal grandparents, Lois and Jack Hughes; and her half sisters, Marla Magoon and Margo Powell.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established. Condolences may be shared at http://www.hermannfuneralhome.com.
