The LeRoy Panthers offense was averaging over 400 yards rushing a game.

Averaging!

So confident in their offense were they that when they won the coin toss, they did the unorthodox – they wanted the ball right away. (Normally teams defer in order to get the second half kickoff and have a chance at back-to-back scores – but more on that later)

"Yeah, it surprised me when they wanted the ball," said Lena-Winslow head coach Ric Arand. "That made the first possession really important."

Three times the LeRoy Panthers ran the ball inside, and three times they amassed a grand total of only six yards...
