The Pirates were effectively shutting the Panthers down, and held a solid 3-0 lead going into the top of the sixth inning, but that's when Lena-Winslow woke up. Miles Mahon recorded the only extra base hit in the game for the Panthers – a double – but the flood gates opened as Lena-Winslow scored six runs in each of the final two innings to blow the game open in spite of making six errors in the field as Galena never scored an earned run. Mahon, C. Lynch, and L. Grindey each tallied two RBIs in the game.
