There was a lot to take in and enjoy at the opening night of the River Ridge Volleyball Regional Monday night, but the nightcap stole the show.

Scales Mound was coming off a tremendous season in which they claimed second place in the NUIC West, reached the 20 win mark, and as coach Werner admitted, "This group brought respect back to Scales Mound Volleyball with the best season since coach Winter was in charge."
