Personal Injury Accident

On 10/6/23 at approximately 9:40 am, the Jo Daviess County 911 dispatch center received a 911 call of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of US Route 20 and Illinois Route 84 in rural Elizabeth.

Upon arrival, Deputies learned that Gary Wentworth, 77 of Janesville, WI, was operating a 2015 Chevy pickup pulling a camper and was stopped on Route 84 attempting to enter traffic on US Route 20. Daniel Harms, 73 of Galena, was traveling east on US Route 20 approaching the Route 84 intersection in a 2006 Land Rover.
