April Recycling Event

Northwest Illinois residents and businesses are invited to participate in the upcoming recycling collection set for Saturday, April 30, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Elizabeth Community Building rear parking area just off U.S. Route 20, at 330 N. West Street, Elizabeth, Illinois.

Several categories collected at the event include fees to cover a portion of recycling expense while some categories are free. NO PAINT, NO TIRES and NO HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ITEMS will be accepted.

A $.70 per pound recycling fee is being charged for all small household, rechargeable and power unit batteries. Thes...
