Point To Ponder

I broke one of my oldest rules last week.

You see, years ago, when my daughter Caitlin was playing basketball for Lena-Winslow, I was in Pearl City to cover the Panthers playing the Wolves when she suddenly ran up to me during the pre-game warm up.

“How can you wear that shirt?!” she declared.

“What? What’s wrong with my shirt?”

“It’s red! Those are Pearl City colors. Are you rooting against me?”

“Oh my God, it’s just a shirt.”

“But it’s red!”

“It’s also clean, which is more than I can say for most of my other ones. Lighten up.”
