Many older individuals in Stephenson and Jo Daviess counties could qualify for free rides to medical appointments, thanks to a grant awarded to the Senior Resource Center from the Freeport Community Foundation. The $6,200 grant funds in part the Healthcare Access Transit (HAT) Project, operated by the Senior Resource Center, which will provide the free rides to individuals who meet the income criteria.
