A Shipload Of Yards

"Fye is tackled by a shipload of Pirates."

When the Galena home announcer first made the call, everyone on the Panther sideline was doing a double-take.

"What did he just say?"

"A shipload – with a 'p'."

"Oh, Ok, for a minute I could have sworn he said ..."

Give the announcer from Galena credit, he has apparently been adding in some local fun, and that little phrase was only one of them. The other was a cry to "Move those chains, Frank!" which was echoed by the Galena student body whenever the Pirates made a first down.
