The Hills Continue To Win

It may only be their first season hosting Cross Country meets, but the hills of Lake Carroll have already earned a reputation for the challenge they present to area runners. More local schools learned that the hard way last week as Aquin, Galena and Dakota all got their first chance facing the hills as they joined Durand/Pecatonica and Eastland for a meet.

The end result was not hard to predict – the teams who were familiar with the rugged up and down winding course were able to do better than those who tried to challenge it for the first time.
