Dear Dan,

First, I want to tell you how much we enjoy and appreciate your newspaper, Village Voices. We get news and other things that we don’t get anywhere else.

I especially enjoyed your “Points to Ponder” in the August 19-25 issue. It did prompt a couple of questions out of curiosity though.

-Who or what government agency, or panel, or committee, or organization, or authorized person, determines what it “politically correct”? Where does that come from? And where does the authority come from to use the word “ban”?
