As I drove down Empire Street in Freeport the other evening with my windows down it was refreshing to hear the cheer of the players and the ding of the bat in Read Park. It brought back memories of the good ole days when I was a youth and then a parent watching my children play baseball. Albeit the sound was a bit muffled and the fans were socially distanced for the most part - it was still music to my ears.
