When the Coronavirus quarantine first hit, the schools in our area were officially on "Act of God" days – meaning that they really had no responsibility. But as of March 31st, the ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) mandated e-learning programs for every school in the state.
"Every school had to submit a report regarding how they were going to handle e-learning in every academic area," said Stockton High School Principal Casey Downey.
But there was one catch – according to the Governor and ISBE – the e-learning activities could not "negatively impact students". That threw a monkey wrench...
