Ethen Doty made quick work of his opposition in the 132 pound bracket.
The Lena-Winslow/Stockton Pantherhawks gave it quite a battle, but in the end Dakota was able to edge past them for first place as a team. The final team standings of the Polo Regional were:
1st Dakota 238.5
2nd Le-Win/Stockton 198.5
3rd Stillman Valley 117
4th Dixon 112
5th West Carroll 100.5
6th Byron 93
7th Fulton 80
8th Oregon 42.5
9th Polo 32
10th Amboy 25
11th Durand 22.5
Because of the final team score, Dakota will be allowed to advance on and compete for the 1A State team title, while the Pantherhawks will only be able to compete for individual honors.
