The Monroe Fury Girls Hockey team is comprised of players from Orangeville and Lena, along with Monroe.
The Fury Hockey team traveled to Hartland Nov. 29-30 to compete in the Arrowhead Turkey Tourney. With a team bowing out of the tourney, three teams participated with Fury and Arrowhead squaring off first. The Fury lost 2-0 in a slow-paced first game.
In the next game vs. Brookfield Glacier, the Fury found their footing, easily defeating the Glacier 11-3. Anika Einbeck, Haley Knauf, and Alyssa Knauf lead the team in points. Anika contributed 5 goals (her second hat trick of the season) and 2 assists to the win. Alyssa tallied 1 goal, 6 assists (her second playmaker of the season). Haley earned...
