“Hey good column this week Dan.”
I was with my wife picking up her car at Chris Brinker’s Pit Stop where she had taken it in for some routine maintenance when Chris, the owner, came into the office and made the comment.
But before I could even thank him and bask in the compliment, it was followed by a caveat.
“Yeah, I read it before I stuffed your paper into the air conditioner’s vent to block the cold air from coming in.”
“Well, at least my paper serves a purpose,” I answered as we all shared in the laugh.
We finished up our business, and I was leaving with my wife when she turned and offered...
