On 9/18/21 at approximately 3:54, the Jo Daviess County dispatch center received a report of a traffic accident in the area of the railroad crossing near N. Stagecoach Trail and North Street in Nora. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Jessica L. Voss, 36 of Freeport, was operating a white 2018 Chevy SUV eastbound on Stagecoach Trail when she attempted to negotiate a curve in the roadway. This summer, a team of volunteers from the Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation (JDCF) positively identified the rusty patched bumble bee in the prairie at one of JDCF's 7 public preserves. This is an exciting find as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) listed the rusty patched as an endangered species in January of 2017. Truck Overturns At about 4:12 pm on 9/15/21, the Warren Police Department relayed to Jo Daviess County 911 Dispatch a motorist report of a traffic crash involving a roll-over on East Winslow Road East of Stagecoach Trail in rural Warren.
