    Higher volumes for health care services are anticipated every year during cold and flu season and 2022 is no different. This year, SSM Health Monroe Hospital and SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group are seeing some of those increases earlier than anticipated as local cases of the flu and RSV are already coming in.     In the Fall of 2022, the Freeport Elks donated $26,000 to local Freeport organizations that help local agencies including: Meals on Wheels, FACC, JR ROTC, "Blue Nuns", Salvation Army, Mother Hubbard, and Freeport Veterans. Since this fall the Elks donated another $1000 to the Vets, and this past Monday they donated 36 sheets and 36 pillowcases to FACC plus clothing and bath towels.
