    Stabbing/Barricaded Suspect On July 10, 2023 at approximately 3:40 am, the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a stabbing on Red Gates Rd, in rural Galena. Volunteers are needed Tuesday, July 25 through Saturday, July 29.     Drowning Investigation On July 4th, at approximately 12:13 pm, Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Park near Lena for a subject swimming outside of the swim area and in distress.
