The Daily Drawing (a cooperative fundraiser) is a drawing for 366 daily cash prizes from October 1, 2019 – September 30, 2020 to those donating for a ticket. Cash prizes vary between $50 and $250. The Freeport Public Library will reopen to the public on Monday, June 29th. A face covering will be required to enter the library, and the quarantine of all returned items for 72 hours will continue. Three years ago, almost to the day, the Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation (JDCF) stewardship staff began spotting a new invasive plant, Japanese Knotweed, around streams and drainage ditches in the Galena area. This prolific weed has now invaded waterways across Jo Daviess County, and is currently found on properties in and around Galena, Lena, Nora, and Stockton.
