On August 16th, personnel from the Stephenson County Sheriff's Office, assisted by the Ogle County Sheriff's Office, arrested Daniel Sheets, 37 of Dakota, without incident at a residence in the 100 block of S. Stockton LaVerne Willis, 77 LaVerne Willis, age 77, of Stockton, IL passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at his home. He was born in Freeport, IL to the late Sherwood and Pearl (Belk) Willis. LaVerne married Juanita Heidenreich on December 27, 1969. Last Season The magical rise of the River Ridge Wildcat volleyball program hit a new high last season - although it took a while to kick into gear. The regular season was not the 20 wins we thought as the Wildcats had to deal with super-power Galena, as well as a West Carroll squad that had some true stars on it. Last Season The Broncos struggled out of the gate in 2022, and were saddled with having to compete in what was arguably the strongest conference in the region. Last Season The 2022 Lena-Winslow Lady Panthers established themselves as a major power within the dominant NUIC North.
