  • Heroic Effort

    Dan Stevens|Mar 11, 2020

The Indian Creek Timberwolves came into the Sectional undefeated and ranked #1 in the State in Class 1A, so it was understandable that they might not be too worried about taking on a Panther team that had been blown out twice this season by 30+ point margins. But if Indian Creek is indeed #1, then a very strong argument could be made to include the Panthers in the top five. For three quarters and five minutes, Lena-Winslow gave the Timberwolves more than they wanted. Isaiah Bruce and Sean...

  • Voices All Area Girls Team

    Dan Stevens|Mar 11, 2020

It was an amazing season in Girl's Basketball this year, and nobody is more excited to congratulate the Eastland Cougars on reaching the pinnacle that for so long seemed unreachable – State Champions! Make no mistake; what the Cougars did was exceptional. Eastland was truly a team in every sense of the w...

  • Preacher's Piece

    Kevin Cernak|Mar 11, 2020

And it came to pass. There’s a guy in our church who says his favorite line in the Bible is: “And it came to pass.” He said it reminds him that whatever he is going through in life, it too shall pass. Nothing lasts forever. On the wall of my high school biology room, the teacher, Mr. Taylor, had a sign hanging just under the clock that read: “Time will pass. Will you?” Fortunately, the answer is yes, yes I did - at least most of the time! Well, this is the first week with the clocks moved ahe...

  • Point To Ponder

    Dan Stevens|Mar 11, 2020

Normally, I try not to make use of any of the jokes floating around on the internet. Few of them tickle me like real life situations, and most people have already heard them and passed them on to friends anyway. But my wife sent me a goody, and because she sent it – I figure she can’t get mad at me for simply passing along what she started. Anyway, it was entitled Women, as explained by engineers. (Enjoy) 1 – To find a woman you need time and money. Therefore: Women = Time X Money 2 – “Time i...
